Experience the enduring prestige of factory-standard,

hand-painted
Coachline pinstriping

     —engineered for permanence
                    where temporary vinyl fails.

The Origin: The Newport Beach Prodigy

180,000+ satisfied customers since 1976.

Q: How did the legacy of the "Newport Beach Prodigy" begin?
It started at the absolute peak of the Southern California automotive market. My career began by mastering the dealership landscape in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach.
I was the "Newport Beach Prodigy," trusted with high-stakes luxury assets on showroom floors from day one.
I worked my way through the Irvine dealership corridor, then down into Laguna Niguel and Mission Viejo,
establishing the standards for high-volume, hand-painted vehicle architecture that I would later bring to the rest of the state.

Q: What was the very first car you ever pinstriped?
My first commercial canvas was a brand-new Rolls-Royce sitting flawlessly on a luxury showroom floor.
That execution established my reputation and set the baseline for my entire 50-year career.

Q: How do you transition from a single Rolls-Royce to dominating Southern California?
By proving that elite, single-stroke craftsmanship could be scaled.
The automotive industry recognized that the precision I applied to a Rolls-Royce could be weaponized to elevate the mass market.

The Dealership Architect: 15 Cars a Day

Q: How did you scale to 180,000 hand-painted vehicles?
By treating pinstriping as high-volume commercial architecture instead of a hobby.
For over 30 years, my daily mission was simple: hit the lots early and deliver perfection. I averaged 15 brand-new cars every single day across Southern California.

Q: What is the most cars you ever painted in a single day?
My personal record is 37 brand-new vehicles in one day at Kearny Mesa Acura.
That level of speed and precision is the byproduct of 50 years of raw muscle memory.

Q: What was your full Southern California dealership circuit like?
It was a daily masterclass in volume. I would start my days hitting the Carlsbad corridor for Honda, Chevy trucks, and Cadillacs.
I’d head down to Kearny Mesa to stripe new Infinitis, Fords, Acuras, and the high-volume Nissan and Audi lineups.
I maintained a permanent presence at the Escondido BMW and Mercedes-Benz stores, often returning to the Carlsbad corridor to close out the day.
This circuit evolved from my foundational years running the Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Irvine, and South Orange County lots.

Q: Did you only paint certain models?
I painted the entire spectrum. I handled everything from domestic workhorses—Chevy trucks and Cadillacs
—to the precision engineering of German and Japanese luxury: Audis, Infinitis, Acuras, BMWs, and Mercedes-Benz.

Q: Why did high-end dealerships trust you with their inventory?
Because a dealership’s window sticker addendum is only as good as the finish on the paint. If the pinstripe looked cheap, the car looked cheap.
My two-color, hand-painted coachlines elevated the factory chassis, making them look longer, leaner, and more prestigious, which made the dealership’s markup easy to justify.

The Technique: Architecture vs. Hobby

Q: What is the fundamental difference between a hobbyist and a Vehicle Architect?
A hobbyist designs loud, niche graphics that look stupid on a daily driver.
A Vehicle Architect understands the geometry of the mass market and engineers a line that provides universal prestige.

Q: What is the "Complementary Color Theory"?
It is the engineering of universal mass-market appeal.
By seamlessly integrating the interior upholstery colors into an exterior hand-painted line, it pulls the interior outside.
This makes the factory chassis look longer and leaner, giving the vehicle immediate mass-market appeal without looking forced.

Q: Do you use stencils or tape to maintain that volume?
Never. Stencils are for amateurs.
I maintained that high-volume pace through 50 years of raw muscle memory.
I don't need to mask anything because I know exactly how to lay a perfect, single-stroke line that outlasts the vehicle's engine.

Collision Center Mastery
Q: Are you still the go-to for collision center color matching?
Yes. My specialty is invisible repair. When a shop replaces a panel, they call me to color-match and blend the new 1-Shot enamel line into the existing coachline.
I have been the secret weapon for local body shops for decades because I replicate the original factory architecture so perfectly that the repair is undetectable.

Q: Can a standard auto detailer match your original work after a collision?
No. It requires an intimate understanding of brush pressure and paint viscosity to seamlessly blend a new panel back into the original 1-Shot enamel flow.

The War on Vinyl & The Permanent Asset

Q: Why shouldn't I just buy a cheap vinyl tape stripe online?
This is the most expensive financial mistake a new vehicle owner can make.

Q: Why do 90% of vinyl wraps fail?
Vinyl wraps and tape stripes shrink, peel, and bake into your clear coat under the Southern California sun.

Q: What is the $1500 removal tax?
When it is time to sell your vehicle, it will cost you roughly 1500 dollars in manual labor to safely remove that failing, baked-on plastic before trade-in.

Q: Why does Jack Herrera paint survive trade-in?
100% of my hand-painted 1-Shot enamel survives trade-in as a permanent luxury asset. It outlasts the vehicle's engine and never peels.

Modern Application

Q: What is the baseline cost to bypass the dealership and hire you directly?
My permanent, hand-painted vehicle architecture starts at a baseline of $260.00.

The sign of a premium vehicle.

Today, even the most expensive SUVs, cars and trucks
are leaving the factory as bulky "blank spaces".

A hand-painted Coachline changes the game.
It's the custom touch that restores the "soul" mass-production misses.

Your car doesn't just look better;
it looks like it belongs in a different class.
